The Storyteller Behind It All
Andrew V. Ambraziejus
The Man Behind the Stories | The Life Behind the Voices
Before RV. Before Viktor. Before the names Andy V. Roamer and Andy V. Ambrose. There was Andrew.
Andrew V. Ambraziejus grew up in the Boston area and moved to New York City after college, where he spent many years working in book publishing. Along the way, he wore many hats, including editorial, copyediting, proofreading, and production. That career gave him a deep appreciation for storytelling, for the craft behind a finished book, and for the many different voices a single life can hold.
Over time, those different voices found their way into his own writing. One looks back at the uncertainty, discovery, and intensity of being young. The other looks at life from the other side of experience, where relationships, identity, family, aging, and starting over take on a different meaning. They became two distinct literary voices: Andy V. Roamer and Andy V. Ambrose.
Two names. Two perspectives. Two very different stages of the journey. But underneath both is the same storyteller, exploring the questions that follow us through life: Who are we? Where do we belong? And what does it take to become comfortable with who we really are?
When he isn’t writing, Andrew enjoys riding his bike, reading, watching foreign and independent films, and traveling. He lives in New York City.

The Pizza Chronicles | RV’s World
Before the adult. Before the hindsight. Before life has given you all the answers. There is RV.
Andy V. Roamer is the voice behind The Pizza Chronicles, a coming-of-age series centered on RV, the teenage son of immigrants from Lithuania in Eastern Europe. The series follows RV through the four demanding years of high school as he tries to make sense of the world around him while discovering the person he is becoming.
RV has plenty to navigate: the expectations of family, the pressures of school, new friendships, budding sexuality, first relationships, and all the uncertainty that comes with growing up. He is at that complicated age when the world can feel both enormous and very small, when a single conversation can change everything, and when questions about identity don’t always come with easy answers.
Why Can’t Life Be Like Pizza? begins RV’s journey, exploring what it means to grow up while you’re still trying to figure out who you are. Through Andy V. Roamer, the teenage years become more than a backdrop. They become a world of discovery, awkwardness, humor, vulnerability, and possibility.
This is RV’s world. This is the voice of Andy V. Roamer.

An Older Gay Man’s Journey
Andy V. Ambrose
Confessions of a Gay Curmudgeon | Viktor’s World
Years pass. The questions change. But finding yourself doesn’t necessarily get easier. Enter Viktor.
Andy V. Ambrose is the voice behind Confessions of a Gay Curmudgeon, his first novel and the story of Viktor, a fifty-year-old gay man trying to find his way back into the world after the end of a twelve-year relationship. After spending so much of his adult life within one relationship, Viktor suddenly finds himself facing a world he thought he had left behind.
Through his digital diary, Viktor wrestles with dating, new corporate bosses, friendships, family, sexuality, and the often absurd world of middle-aged gay men trying to navigate life and relationships. His friends encourage him to get back out there, introduce him to potential partners, and take him places to meet new people, but Viktor isn’t always convinced that the people he meets are particularly eligible. And despite his attempts to distance himself from his immigrant roots and build a life on his own terms, his family history continues to follow him. Even his therapist doesn’t always seem to understand him.
Beneath the humor and misadventures is a deeper story about identity, loss, aging, and starting over. Viktor is still asking a question that sounds familiar, but now comes with decades of experience behind it: Who am I now? Confessions of a Gay Curmudgeon explores what happens when the life you’ve built changes, and you have to decide what comes next.
This is Viktor’s world. This is the voice of Andy V. Ambrose.
